Violinist Mira Foron made her debut at the age of 14 at Zurich’s Tonhalle in Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto. Her playing has been described as “beyond technical brilliance”. She is currently studying with Julia Fischer at the Musikhochschule in Munich.
Mira was chosen to represent Germany at the Eurovision Young Musicians competition in Edinburgh. In the finale Mira played together with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Thomas Dausgaard.
She played recitals at Festival Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Copenhagen summer festival, Berlin Philharmonie, Vienna Konzerthaus, Göteborgs Konserthus and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg with the String Orchestra of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
She played Sibelius concerto with National Orchestra of Ukraine and the world premiere of Fazil Say’s cadenza of Beethoven’s violin concerto in a production of the WDR.
Mira was invited by Anne Sophie Mutter to perform as one of “Mutter’s Virtuosi” at her Jubilee Concerts at the Salzburger Festspiele as well as in the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden.
She has a scholaship of the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund and the Deutschen Stiftung Musikleben. Upcoming invitations include recitals at Gezeiten Festival, Verbier Festival, Krzyzowa- Chamber Festival Beethovenfest Bonn and next season she will play concerts with the Dortmunder Philharmoniker with Martijn Dendievel, Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz with Marcus Bosch, Philharmonie de Chambre Française, Filharmonica de Stat Moldova with Nicolò Foron and Staatsorchester Stuttgart with Cornelius Meister.
