Born in Como in 1997, Martina Consonni has established herself as one of the most promising young artists of her generation: piano diploma at the age of fourteen with full marks and the highest distinctions, debut with an orchestra at the age of ten and over 55 first prizes in national and international competitions.
Martina can boast an intense concert activity in Italy and abroad, as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. At the age of fourteen, she was the youngest competitor and winner of the Casella Prize at the prestigious Premio Venezia competition, organized by Teatro La Fenice. As a result of this award, she attracted the attention of many Italian concert season organizers and was invited by former President Giorgio Napolitano to the Quirinal Palace in Rome.
Martina has collaborated with many conductors and has performed in prestigious venues such as Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Palazzo Pitti in Florence, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, St. Stephen’s Church in New York, and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
She has given recitals and chamber music concerts at renowned festivals and has been selected to participate in numerous masterclasses, meeting internationally renowned musicians such as Christopher Eschenbach, Nikolai Demidenko, Ingrid Fliter and Andrea Bonatta. She is particularly praised for her innate musicality and brilliance of sound, combined with a remarkable instrumental technique.
From September 2021, she is attending the Sir András Schiff Performance Program for young pianists at the Kronberg Academy in Germany and from October 2022, she is also attending the Artist Diploma at the Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin.
Martina has made several recordings for Rai radio tre, Venice Classic Radio and for the independent label Movimento Classical of Bartok Studio.
