Born in Germany in 2005, she made her solo debut at seven with the Mexico State Symphony Orchestra and has since performed across twenty-five countries in venues such as Lincoln Center New York, the Berlin Philharmonie, Covent Garden London, Cairo Opera House, and the Royal Opera House Muscat.

She has collaborated with distinguished conductors and soloists including Zubin Mehta, Christoph Eschenbach, Iván Fischer, Vladimir Jurowski, István Várdai, András Keller, Kristóf Baráti, Mikhail Pletnev, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Maxim Rysanov, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Marc Bouchkov, and Pablo Barragán, and has performed with the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra London, Concerto Budapest, the Hungarian National Philharmonic, the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra Moscow, the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Kremerata Baltica, among others.

Amira is a laureate of numerous international competitions. She has won First Prize at the Ilona Fehér International Violin Competition in Budapest, the Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition in Brussels, and the Oradea International Instrumental Competition. Other accolades include prizes and the Audience Award at the International Fritz Kreisler Competition and the Mayseder Competition, the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra Special Prize, the Golden Star Award from the Stars and Awards competition, the Silver Medal and Audience Award at Virtuosos V4+ 2020, and the Kodály Award and String Soloist Award at Austria’s ISA Semmering Festival.

In 2022, the Charlotte White Foundation in New York awarded a Career Grant to Amira and her sister, violinist Mariam Abouzahra. In 2024, she received the Talent Award of the Cziffra Festival in Budapest and was named a scholarship recipient of the Swiss Günther Caspar Foundation’s Career Advancement Program. Most recently, in 2025, she was honored with the Junior Prima Award, Hungary’s most prestigious distinction for young artists, as well as the Prinz von Hessen-Preis at the Kronberg Academy masterclasses.

Amira began violin studies at the age of four in Weinheim with Alexander Gawrilenko, continuing with Gábor Homoki and Eszter Haffner. Since 2019, she has studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under Professor Dora Schwarzberg, and since 2025 she has been pursuing Professional Studies at the Kronberg Academy with Boris Garlitsky and Gidon Kremer. Her studies are funded by the Jascha Heifetz patronage.

She plays the 1734 ex-Baron Feilitzsch Stradivarius violin, generously on loan from Gidon Kremer.
