Diana Adamyan is quickly gaining an international reputation as one of her generation’s most outstanding violinists, having won First Prize at both the 2018 Menuhin Competition and the 2020 Khachaturian International Competition.
Among her recent engagements are collaborations with the hr-Sinfonieorchester and Alain Altinoglu at the Rheingau Musikfestival, the Hamburger Symphoniker and Han-Na Chang at the Laeiszhalle, Sylvain Cambreling at the Elbphilharmonie, the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Kaiserslautern Saarbrücken and Giancarlo Guerrero, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and Ruth Reinhardt at the Philharmonie Berlin, and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz with Markus Poschner at the Prinzregententheater in Munich and the Brucknerhaus Linz, as well as the Aspen Music Festival with Lionel Bringuier, the Boston Pops Orchestra at Boston Symphony Hall with Keith Lockhart, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and her recent debut at the Boston Celebrity Series.
Diana is a Classeek Ambassador Program artist for the 2025-2026 season.
Born in 2000 in Yerevan into a family of musicians, Diana completed her studies in 2017 with Professor Petros Haykazyan and in 2023 at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Professor Ana Chumachenco. She was also selected to study with Pinchas Zukerman at the NAC Summer Music School, as well as with Leonidas Kavakos, in association with the DakApp Foundation.
Currently living in Basel, she continues her studies at the Basel Musik-Akademie with Professor Leonidas Kavakos.
The recipient of a scholarship from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, Diana is under the patronage of the Armenian General Benevolent Union and the YerazArt Foundation in Boston. She performs on an instrument made by Nicolò Gagliano in 1760, generously on loan from the Henri Moerel Foundation.
Alongside her journey in classical music, Diana turns to painting as a second language of expression, capturing the colors she sees in sound and the emotions that flow through every note she plays.
